These Lips Let Slip False Truths.

by deeplydesturbed   Jul 22, 2016

Today I woke up happy
Yesterday I didn't get sad
Work was wonderful
There was nothing that made me mad!
The cats didn't come in for cuddles,
Ryan didn't sneak in past two.
I think I'm really ready to start living life,
I realised I don't really love you.
I dreamt of happiness and rainbows,
Awoke feeling well slept and refreshed.
Got straight out of bed, showered,
Realised my darkness was repressed!
Obviously by now,
You realise this poem is all the truth.
So read it again and again,
You mere companions from my youth!

N, a wonderful, positive piece by you. I like that you are realising things because it will help.
I hope your positive attitude sticks around :)

    Hello dear,

Lovely rhyming poem that breathes future happiness. A perfect place for a new chapter. The final reflection on darker days gone by provides the necessary background for this reader. Let's rub that happiness in the face of those dark days.

There may be a typo in the final 'you' - possibly 'you're', 'you were'?

Well done for fighting through the Web and feeling free.

    Take care,

    Michael
