July 2016 - Random

by Everlasting   Jul 30, 2016

Like images held in an hourglass,
each night I sleep in a capsule of time
With thoughts resting over grass
while pondering about the meaning of life.
These images fall like dreams - grain by grain
while I stare at the night sky
wondering if life is just pain
Or if joy just shines like the stars up high

So distant, afar
Untouchable,
But ever so alluring to our eyes.

Right now, this sums me up in a nutshell. Full of hurt and hatred towards the world and hoping joy will shine upon me from the moon/stars and think "yeah, she's had her fair share of hurting now."

Brilliant write and as Michael said, breath-taking and unique..
