Prayer to God - July 2016

by Everlasting   Jul 31, 2016

If I ever was like the grass as green,
And you, as radiant as the sun;
Let me still feed from your light today
And tomorrow be, still as green.
But if tomorrow I find myself dried;
Burnt out by your guiding light,
Then let yourself still be that sun,
But this time, covered by some clouds.
Then let the rain fall upon me
To showered me with wisdom divine
So I can regain my green, somehow...
Yet when I can't absorb no more
and almost drown with your commands,
Please, come and illuminate me God,
Let your sunshine rays enlighten my life,
So you can evaporate the rain
in which my heart, my mind, and soul

almost drown.

    This poem has warmth and sincerity. There is much to know about God and sometimes even if we forget him he keeps reminding us that there is still someone above us...keep the faith!

    I enjoyed the read, Ms. Lucero! Whenever we fall out of God's grace, we just need to stand firm with our worship and have faith in Him.
