In this generation
Being apathetic was praised
Being committed was overlooked
Adultery became the new loyalty

Everyone wants the same thing

No one knew how to give it
All because people are selfish

A constant need for gratification
Wanting it all in an instant
They didnt get their way

They will turn to drugs or alcohol
Or even sleep around
That became their way of fun
Forgetting the importance of communication

They "talk" and they text
They Snapchat and they sext
They hangout and they happy hour

anything to avoid an actual date.

Dating became the new sport
Actually one night stands became the new dating
Friend with benefits became the new relationships

If not people compared relationships to others
They want a relationship without the work of a relationship
They want something deep
While keeping it shallow

They'll repair devices over their relationships
They'll say anything
Mostly lies

saying I love you and don't mean it
saying their deeply in love but don't stay there

it became rare
to hear the truth
Deceit was the new honesty

Disagreeing was the new compromise
Fairy tales was the new reality
Thinking perfection was attainable
They all failed

The list can go on but why?
This generation is most likely to be alone
Known for the generation
Who forgot how to love
