I had so many trust issues,
relying on no one,
because I believed that trust did not exist,
and love would not remain -
but somehow, I let you look inside of me
through every crack I had.
I used to pray that you would understand,
and for a while, I really believed you did...
until I turned around and you were gone -
my whole world crumbled to the ground!
I really thought you were going to show me
that it was possible for trust to be built,
possible for love to remain,
but all you taught me was more regret
after you broke my heart
and walked away with every bleeding part.
