The Kite

The Kite

When you are born
and feel your world
does not have enough time for you
you may shed no tears
but you cry deep inside
You wish everyone would leave you alone
and go fly a kite

Everybody wants to be happy
but no one knows how
you just hold your tears
and bow

Rely on the love
that is inside of you
that should cover enough for you
and them too

    Thanks for sharing - sad but enlightening. We all have our inner struggles but sometimes hide ourselves from others/isolate ourselves. When a person is in pain, naturally they want help, but a person tends to habitually burn bridges at the same time. We must rely on our own love before we can rely on anothers.

    I like this one. There's a tint of sadness and an inspiring tale that's unfolding in every line. I'd take 'kite' as a metaphor for freedom and happiness. We should all go and fly a kite! Haha. Nicely penned!
