Tears Laced With Lies:

by Scott Cole   Aug 20, 2016

A single drop of Love
That's teardrop in size,
Over-whelming emotions
Hastly concealed inside.

Each one labored over
With heartbreak and misery,
And then delivered airmail
All soaking wet and slippery.

I tried to be extra selfish
And keep them to myself,
But forces beyond my control
Seem to make them all excel.

My camouflage did no good
The turning of my head,
To spare you all the sadness
From these tears that I've shed.

For when it rains it pours
Comes flowing down my face,
And there's no taking it back
Broken feelings aren't replaced.

For alot of time and effort
Is injected into each one,
From years and years of love
That's about to come undone.

So now I must release them
Free them from their cell,
Because of over-crowding
From all those lies you tell.
