Perfectly Imperfect

by Allie   Aug 22, 2016

She's looking for an escape.. she's looking for the next thing that's gonna make her feel good again. She doesn't know if it's gonna be a bottle of liquor, pills, or someone, just for awhile. She's perfectly imperfect. She smiles through her broken soul. She laughs through her tears. You'd never guess she's completely shattered. You'd never guess how she sees herself. You'd never realize the nights she's spent, one hand on her stomach another hand over her mouth, just completely broken. She's perfectly imperfect. She's the one you run to when you're broken, when you feel like you've had enough. She's your reminder of just how strong you really are. If only she could realize that being imperfect is perfect.

I like the imagery here and you have brought out a reality of women who go through this plight; and when you think about it they are more stronger then us and at the same time more fragile then us.

It would be nice if you can break this up into stanzas so it will read/look better. Nonetheless a touching write...take care.
