My Lifeline

by Meena Krish   Aug 23, 2016

I wonder each day
how to express
what you mean to me
and honestly no words
come close enough to describe
your closeness;

You are my fresh cup
of morning tea
whose good mornings
loosens my smile free,
you're the positive part of me
who never flees;

I have no idea
how we connected
but our road to discovery
had a common ground
which bloomed
into a respected
and trusted bond;

Now you have become
more then just a someone
I call friend
you have become
my lifeline
my confidant
who reads between my lines
and understands;

I wonder each day
how to express
what you mean to me
but you who reads
between my lines...
knows and understands...

    Meena,

    I am sorry that I missed this one. The sentiment is one I fully appreciate. When we meet someone who can 'read between our lines' we are lucky indeed.

    Beautifully written.

    Such a deep and heartfelt write, between the lines is a history and a understanding beyond the needs for words. This invisible connection you speak of fills volumes of unseen books with emotions and feelings. The one you speak of would understand this write more then anyone else possibly could. This will be my favorite poem.

    Meena,

    This is truly beautiful, when we find that special someone everything else seems to fit into place. You portrayed the feelings and thoughts well within this piece and this person is too lucky to have you.

    Meena, what a lovely poem. It truly is wonderful when that person who completes you have made it into your life. Beautiful write to that special person-well done-
