Well written - it is really hard to relate to anything in a positive way when our own experiences of them are tarnished. Mother/ female figures will always feel safe, reliable and trust worthy. Whereas father, male figures will induce darker thoughts. It is shame he gave you such a negative representation of father figures.

Im sorry its your father that hurt you.. mines my mother. So true the words you write.

I'm sorry you've had to go through your life with this man you have to call dad but hasn't been there to be a father. So many parents who don't deserve the title but yet there they are claiming to be just that. If people only understood the lasting effects they have on their children by the incredibly stupid way they act maybe they would actually step up. You really expressed your feelings well, I hope one day you will find peace in your life with this man.
