Natural hunters

A venus fly trap
Captures it's prey.
It locks it in,
forces it to stay.

A lion in Africa
hunts for his food.
Crouching in the tall grass,
Watch out zebras; you're screwed.

A leopard runs fast,
Hyenas just scavange.
No matter the way they eat
It's always a challenge.

I actually like this one very much. The last line of the second stanza made me chuckle even though it isn't a comical piece. Milly xx

Glad you enjoyed milly! It can be taken however the reader wants. If it brings laughter to your lips, so be it :)

..then the man, he sees her,
prime prey, ready for the taking.

    Just like the panther,
    he comes from behind,
    weaving around worthless aged meat
    on the cluttered dance-floor,
    then...

he pounces and delivers a fatal blow:

"what's a nice girl like you doing in a jungle like this?"
