You are right, Lucero, it doesn't matter how thick the cloud cover, the sun still shines equally as bright above them. It's on those days, when all we can see is the gloom, that we have to look beyond what is obvious to us and understand that there is light anyway.

What a lovely write this is. Inspirational.

When I first read your poem I took it literally that even though the clouds are thick that the sun still shines as brightly but then I realised that it could also be a metaphor for being old - no matter how old you look on the surface you can still be shining brightly on the inside so what your poem is really saying (to me) is that just because you cannot see something doesn't mean that its not there. Asking the reader to consider using their minds instead of their eyes because our minds often see so much more than our eyes was ingenious.

and the final line "Oh God" added yet another dimension - that just as not seeing the sun shine brightly doesn't mean that it isn't doing it beyond your eye sight is the same as just because you cannot see God doesn't mean that he is not there. A most enjoyable and thought provoking read. Millyx

Lucero, this is a very thought provoking write and I thought it was about being old possibly before your time because of how you look maybe grey hair, wrinkles but inside you feel 21 lol then I read it again and I though maybe it's a bit like not judging a book by its cover for instance a silent illness, just because you look ok in the outside you aren't on the inside and people will judge for that.
Maybe I could be all wrong but a lot of food for thought on this piece, wonderful.
