Why must I Make my Bed

by Everlasting   Sep 5, 2016

The day is ready to be filled with rain
And I was born to be a ray amongst the storm
But not today!

Today, I am the grass itself
The one that grows too high
And the exact same
that everyone would hate to cut
Because it's just too tough!

Yet tomorrow, I guess
Somebody will bring out a lawnmower
And I'll be cut...

But not today!

Today, I'll keep growing stronger
I'll keep getting greener
Because the day is meant to be filled with rain!

So why must I make my bed?
Can I not just sleep and rest?

    Hello,

Rest is so underrated, especially when being productive is the norm - being able to recuperate is essential for production. Let the grass grow a while, anyway, its good for the wildlife.

    Take care,

This is another thought provoking, inspiring piece.
There's always sunshine after the rain and vice versa. Em
