Head vs. Heart

by Tasha   Sep 11, 2016

How to explain the battle
To those who have always had a handle
Over both throughout their lives
They say forgive but don't forget
Always easier said than done, I've met.
If I forgive it's from my soul,
It's from my heart but it's not whole.
I wish I could forget instead,
But plays on repeat in my head.
Enough to turn my mood around
My very own big gloomy cloud.
I can't figure out why they don't agree
It's taking a strange toll on me.
Beautifully, happy thoughts will flood my brain
But my heart likes to rain on that parade
I don't know what to think anymore,
How do I love, when my heart is sore?
I want for this to just be done,
My head and heart to be as one.
