Indoctrination

by Victor   Sep 23, 2016

Cradle to womb
raised by ignorance
parentally entombed
stripped of my innocence

seeking sweet redemption for the worst of my sins
where the path towards salvation ends manipulation so begins

desecrated purity omit flesh from bone
inundated heresy to submit or be stoned
preying on the fears of the lesser and the weak
scriptures paint the pictures of a life dismal and bleak

under damnable oath to some divine light bearer
separate church from hate for in the mind lies the terror
yearning for some purpose, searching for a soul
no deciphering in worship, powers far beyond control

we are body forged in blood, indebted to none false idol
prudent flower yield my bud in a perpetually heinous cycle
so elsewhere exert your righteous will, heart of stone my unbreakable spirit
and watch the madness you instill for the foolish lemmings who hear it

May I say your way with words is amazing.
I was just reading through but with the way you started it made me want to keep on reading.

    Judging Comment:

This piece is extremely interesting and well thought out. The style is eye catching and keeps the audience engaged through a few different means. There is an interesting lack of capitalization and punctuation, but honestly it seems to work here in this piece. It does a great job of leaving the reader in thought. A lot of unusual skills are profoundly utilized within this write this week.

P.s. I'm truly surprised there are not more comments on this.
