The Wildflowers

by Maple Tree   Sep 26, 2016

She wrote scripture; as he sang her a memory.

under a moon that was meant for dark souls,
they fell under spells, cast by mysterious stars
and whispering dream catchers.

She outlined his pain with her stanzas; he melted her past.

within a moment of sorrowful, solitude
they became unexplained-
two lovers upon a broken swing,
began to swing.

She became his voice; the day he forgot the words.

when the sun refused to shine upon them
they made flowers grow without water,
leaves would wave goodbye without breeze.

She put her hand upon his soul; he gave her the final stanza.

time, simply stands still,
we have become fallen petals
upon a dessert of sand,
my love....

    Andrea, this is just beautiful.

two lovers upon a broken swing,
    began to swing.
    ^^
Loved this because it shows that even though things may be 'broken" together you can fix them and become invincible.

    Hello Andrea,

I love the format of a personal statement followed by a stanza.

It shows the beautiful intimacy between you both; hearing words, stanzas without any sound being heard.

    Magic!

    Take care,
