Brenda, beautiful imagery. I'm still trying to decide if this is about a homeless person who is homeless person or a person with an addiction. Either way, im not very religious, but you portrayed the feeling of losing faith and coming back to it very well.

    Well done.

Naomi, thank you so much! It's about someone who is homeless due to addictions. They had it all but lost it all, including their faith to a point. Now they just wish it was over, hence the conversation to God.

    Hello Brenda,

As a writer we often have to imagine how it would be if we were someone else. I know I have!

Here you are a suffering addict pleading for Forgiveness, another chance, anything better than this!!

    One word: Nominated!

    Take care,

    Michael

Thank you so much Michael! I think that is one of our blessings in life, to be a writer and blessed with imagination and the ability towards empathy to see another person. Take care- Brenda

Brenda a truly wonderful write from imagination of a person losing all even their faith and then coming back to God for one last prayer of forgiveness and begging to be brought home.

Glad Michael nominated as I'm all out.

Well, I reckon if there's a God, he certainly would be gracious enough to welcome any of his lost children back, no matter how 'dirty' or 'rotten' they'd become.

    Great write, Brenda.

Brenda a slightly different write from what I have seen before but excellent. The dark visuals of someone falling off the path into darkness and dirt and still wondering if God would accept her back.

Thank you Milly, I've been struggling lately with writing and this came to me. So I started it out and this is the results. That age old question, am I still worthwhile to be accepted after such a fall from grace.
