The Whispers Between Us

by Brookie   Sep 30, 2016

I dream only of whispers
but that's where I heard your name,
between the ghouls and ghosts
and the rainbows and butterflys.

That's where I heard you speak.

I trusted in you but
now im all alone here,
with nothing more than
your voice to soothe me;

did the demons hear you too?
Or is this nothing more than
a child's whisper in the dark.

In the end it never mattered,
I'm still alone here and you're
just a dream.

Even if it means nothing to you
I miss you.

I miss us...

The sound of someone's voice is usually the first to go. I think after you lose that memory, overcoming their absence becomes a tad easier. I hope by now, the pain's subsided. :)

Omg. I just balled my eyes out at this because I have just today finished a relationship that turned out to be a complete lie and waste of breath but I miss him and the fun we had already. Oh well, I guess things happen for a reason.

    All the best, Em
