Cherry Blossoms (Form - Rhyme)

by Augustus Black   Oct 1, 2016

Like a robin, beyond the horizon you flew,
Leaving me lonesome in a state of blue.
Now how would I find you, where would I go,
Sans you the glory of my heart is getting low.

Your loving memories will always make me weep;
Have you forgot the promise I had told you to keep.
The promise to glance as one beyond the stars;
To make a new land free from all cruelty and wars.

You are my true love, not a dull game.
Don't you know you were my only flame;
Who had showed me the way towards the fairy land.
Darling, I just want to hold again your hand.

I can't forget those moments spent under the silvery moon.
Darling, I am waiting for you, please come back soon.
I believe we will watch the cherry blossoms fall again;
We will again run up to the hill, to our secret domain.

    Augustus,

    a well written poem from you. Although I haven't watched the film, your words have breathed a pleasant flavour of it. The loss of love, the memories of a promise and the hope to see one another again in a world where life is so much better, sweeter. Amen to that!

    Take care,
