Lord

Lord

Can you be bored Lord? Kings call upon you yet still fall upon their sword, while others worship you in one accord, for some, prayer is all they can afford.

Many blame you when bad things happen, you laugh when your bolts make them jump but do not zap them.

The truth is that you are good, you are Love, the sunshine, the rain comes from above, the birds sing their tune, nothing like a field of clover in June with the soft light of the full moon.

Every new day of life is a gift from our Father of Lights, to give us good gifts is His delight, we are saved by the power of His might.

Some who love the dark, stumble and fall, or maybe walk into a wall, they need His spark to enlighten their darkened heart, when it happens they will soar like the Lark.

Who can understand the Lord and His ways, with our humanity too much thinking may drive one into insanity. Seeking all the pleasures of life may lead to vanity, the loving of one's self and putting the cares of others on a shelf.

This is not my Lord, who gives rather than takes, when He made us in His own image that was no mistake. He does not dwell in things made by hands or labor. He has chosen to dwell in us as His Temple, hidden in vessels of clay, that gleam in the beggar's eye may be the Holy Spirit saying "Hi".

Ken this is a wonderful written piece with so much thought gone into it an edge rhyming is unforced which always make pieces read much smoother.

1: I guess that he never gets bored looking down on us 'humans' and everything we are doing to the world he created, I reckon he is pretty peed off though.

2: This made me laugh for some reason maybe it was the imagery of him laughing so much trying to catch people with his lightening bolts but not being that cruel As to zap them.

3: Here your love and faith shines through with wonderful imagery.

4: You're right we should be thankful for the life we have been given even if it seems like a bad life as each day is a blessing.

5: Loved this because we all nee his guidance sometimes and even though I am not a great believer I always try to pray.

    6: So very true.

7: No I guess he made us all to perfection when he made us which is why none of us should judge but unfortunately we do and alot.

    A great write as always.

    Hi Ken,
I can relate to this. Sometimes we ask for something then we don't get it easily coz God is preparing something better for us...
I like the way you ask then answer it all by yourself..

and this is my favorite stanza-->

This is not my Lord, who gives rather than takes, when He made us in His own image that was no mistake. He does not dwell in things made by hands or labor. He has chosen to dwell in us as His Temple, hidden in vessels of clay, that gleam in the beggar's eye may be the Holy Spirit saying "Hi".

    nice and great piece Ken
