Stary Wet Night:

by Scott Cole   Oct 7, 2016

The hillside has eyes
That shine like stars,
With a smiley face
To the Valley afar.

He wears a raincap
Shaped like a cloud,
And a dirty brown suit
Which he is so proud.

Come rain or sunshine
He never does mind,
For his grassy jacket
Protects all just fine.

He holds his ground
Keeps his chin up,
And guards the Valley
From any buildup.

From his raincap
That's atop his head,
And his brown suit
That's dry as a bed.

When it rains it pours
Wait out the storm,
That's what the trees
On the hill are for.

To direct the water
And send it away,
Far from the Valley
So there's no disarray.

The rains all dry up
Revealing the skies,
And a smiling face
With big stary eyes.

The Valley is safe
There's no harm done,
The wet night is over
Out comes the Sun.
