The Rose That Used To Be

by Baby Rainbow   Oct 12, 2016

You can't see the rose that used to be.
You can't see beyond the mystery that is now me.

So disconnected from the life I have,
waves of poison pulling me out,
just to drown me in dirty waters.

My thoughts are tarnished
in what feels like never ending pain,
and I stumble to the ground
as I take another step back behind my wall.
A smile will hide my broken heart
of an unwanted mess of damaged goods.

You can't see the rose that used to be.
You can only see an unsolvable mystery.

Unseen.
Unheard.
Unfixable.

There is no way of loving me.
There is no way out of being me.

There is no rose that used to be.
There is no more me.
