Crimson Rose:

by Scott Cole   Oct 17, 2016

Red velvet petals dipped in perfume
Held together in a gorgeous bloom,
With hollowed stems slender in size
Reaching towards the Heavenly skies.

With tiny prickles known as thorns
Protruding from her like bull horns,
And leaves of green that's overlayed
With bristles that are her barricade.

For the architect of all her splendor
Put her together with great tender,
For she is the mechanic of hearts
Whenever passion or love falls apart.

    Scott this is truly beautiful.
The rhyming is unforced which makes the piece all the more smooth to read, the imagery is perfect too.
