Magnolia Pages

by Maple Tree   Oct 17, 2016

To be a fly upon a petal of pages-

As dusk turns into nightfall shadows
my yearning for new beginnings has arrived.

Veins of such elegance has been ignored
by dusting of yellow wording, sounds of repetition.

Ivy lingers along a spine that was once broken
for man, refused to read the stanzas of a dying flower.

Ravens echo promises from lips of wine, kisses of death
as early ages bare circled, wrinkled tear stains.

I have become a spiraling staircase of Magnolia's
the end of my poem, becomes a new chapter;

Of whom I've yet to be....

    Andrea, as always I am so in love with your writing. You have just that way that we are rewarded so richly with prose and visuals, all neatly tied in the form.of a poem.
    I would love to see all the things that inspire you to write the way you do. This write has not disappointed, just beautiful with lots of food for thought. Well done!
