A Snowflake

by Hellon   Oct 21, 2016

Unique ice crystal
forms intricate lattice effect
upon my window pane

and...

as my finger traces
its beautiful shape
it

disappears...

leaving a silhouette of
emptiness
marked in condensation.

    Hi Hellon,

This feels as a metaphor for the elusiveness of life. You can and need to take in as much of you can of all the beauty, love and happiness to be had, but you can never truly hold on to it, as nothing lasts forever.

    Well done!
