Bandaids Of Tears:

by Scott Cole   Oct 23, 2016

My bleeding heart
Feels no comfort,
My crying eyeballs
Are soaked with hurt.

Beneath the sorrow
Behind the teardrops,
Lies all the suffering
That refuses to stop.

My heart is scarred
With feelings of sad,
My eyes are blurred
With emotions of bad.

Bandaids of tears
Cover up my pain,
For an injured heart
Is hard to maintain.

A heart that weeps
And eyes not dried,
They freely do bleed
From down deep inside.

Scott, this is so simple yet so sad and telling of heart ache. You describe it well.
The words nd rhyme are all great and when read aloud is perfect.
