Silent minds

by Bobbie   Oct 24, 2016

Far away from lively crowds and that curious street
We cocoon in a quiet home where our feelings meet
And I look at you while you rest like a cat in my lap
Enjoying the moment, no rush to make another step

Slowly we drink our wine, admiring the gentle taste
Discussions on world problems really seem a waste
We watch the screen in motion yet our minds far away
Vaguely aware these moments are not always to stay

I softly caress you and you smile your lovely smile
You just heave a sigh then study me glassy for a while
Touching your hair and skin our bodies fully relaxed
Both in deny another separated period to be next

Your hands in mine our bodies fitting like two spoons
We dream desperately of eternity, of endless full moons
The fate of this affair never mentioned, leaving it do die
Painfully touched I watch a silent tear back in your eye
