Hello, Brenda

Acrostic poems are one of my favourites. Your title certainly lured me to read on. What could she mean? Could this be a poem about a family of skunks? Hmm, I thought...

No, not a poem about skunks, instead a deeper poem exploring that old argument, nature vs nurture. Why when you bring your 'boys' up well do they act so awfully, and especially to women. This poem delivers a harsh warning too. Don't mess with a woman scorned. I learned that lesson many years ago.

Brenda. Wonderfully executed poem with a great message. Kindness isn't gullible and all too often there will be those stinky boys who think they're real men when infact they are not and those kinds of boys do not respect any women unfortunately even if married.

The title alone made me laugh, Brenda - even more so when I could see that it wasn't literal but an indication to their behaviour towards women!
And the end - Brenda! There's positive venom in that last line, lol.

Thanks all! I really appreciate your comments. I'm very protective of my friends and when some mangy married cur is trying to get with one of them and hurting her in the process, well it raises my hackles. I don't know about the United Kingdom, but in the states if you have a male dog that wants to roam he gets neutered, just saying...Michael, I like the idea of the skunks....

Sounds like someone's about to get one hell of a rude awakening (lol)...but on a serious note -I've met this kind of crappy deal more than I'd ever care to >_> Certain boys...with certain behaviors, well - lets just say it IS disheartening and it's repulsive and I couldn't agree more. :/ I enjoyed your feisty twist on this though, I really did! ^_^
I agree with Denise, not all of them get what they deserve...but, *grinning* you go on and make sure that THIS one does >:)
