Our Universal Moment

by Maple Tree   Nov 6, 2016

My bare feet have traveled around
seven suns and fourteen moons
to find your soul, it seems the earth
rotated our hearts around the universe
until we shattered together as one-

shooting star.

These tears of mine have pooled
enough oceans upon an earthy sand,
I noticed your broken emotions
before you even knew I existed.

They say a lover's dream turns into
a destiny like no other moment in time-

I say, we knew each other before birth,
we just needed to travel within life
before fate handed us our magical
moment in the snow....

Hello Andrea, a poem about destiny and love. I like the imagery of the universe moving, orbiting around until predestined fate brings two as one. A once in a lifetime event; like a solar eclipse, or a shooting star when your young... or old. It's miraculous, but when you think of it, it provides hope for all those lonesome people. Inside them their hearts are missing their perfect match. They need only one thing to keep them going: faith. Faith that the universe will keep moving until one day, like you, love will fall from heaven and hearts will finally sing the song of love.

    Andrea, a lovely inspired write.

    Take care,

Andrea, this is just beautiful! It is the most wonderful thing to travel this crazy world and go through hell and back and we find our soul mate at the end of this trip. As always so eloquently put. Well done-
