Warmth of Love

It only felt like yesterday when we gave love the chance,
a thought so pure and wonderful,a love so pure and strong.
We gave that wonderful moment to share that amazing dance,
Rain so heavy the rain so cold,With wind so chilled wind so strong.
Yet the warmth of love in each others arms chased it all away.

It seem like it would be us forever, we will take it to our grave,
you and me forever. together we will make us last.
To me it seem to had been one big haze,
Time went on our life had change things were moving way to fast.
Yet the warmth of love always chased it away.

Someone once said to me in a few words no less,
time is really not a joke,Time does not want to play,
I guess I found out I did not pass that test,
For them words only now are with me to stay,
I feel that warmth of love just fading away.

I write down this poem not to make you stay,
but to remind me of the good times that have come and gone,
Locked in my heart they will stay as I have tossed the key away.
As my mind tells me we are all done.
I fell that warmth of love has gone.

Think about the future, don't live in the past,
welcome each day with open arms and a smile.
Don't let life pass you up so fast,
Take some time to walk that extra mile.
And one day who knows that warmth of love may sneak back in.

I know that love is out there somewhere for each and every soul,
the neighbor across the street or that person in the mall.
They will find there way to you, in time you will know,
for Life only moves forward never will it move back.
And you don't want to miss it, because you will not get it back.

It really has been a very long time since i have written a poem, and I did not make a draft i wrote it right here no questions asked.
I promise I will try to make it better in the future if I keep posting!
