5 Centimeters Per Second

by Mahal Ko Kuya Ko   Nov 8, 2016

Your tired eyes still glow.
They remind me of dandelions
drenched in late afternoon sunlight,
of acoustic guitars exuding
late autumn vibes,
and of the most trivial things...

like the speed of a falling
cherry blossom petal,
my second cup of coffee,
the broken sink and peeling paint
of our kitchen,
the roses and wisteria vines
in the backyard,
your laughter, apple pancakes,
and a Jude Deveraux book...

Reminiscences and remorse,
they sharpen edges down,
they make you regret and love
at the same time.

But things will hold significance,
no matter how trivial they are,
when you've followed your heart for them,
when they've become your aesthetic,
your mythology, your architecture,
your paradox, your northern star,
and your poetry.

Your tired eyes still glow,
and they remind me of the
most trivial things...

like the speed of a falling
cherry blossom petal.

Mahal, your pieces always make me really emotional because you seem To grip my attention from start to finish but it's like a piece of chocolate, you always want more which is a good thing by the way well I think so lol. Your descriptions are always so perfect.
