I am Sorry

by Sammy   Jul 8, 2004

How much can I say that I am sorry,
For what I did to you.
I caused you death through and through.

You may not blame me,
But I myself.
I was the one who wanted to go to the park that day,
You were the one who didn't.
I was the one who whinnied until i got my way,
You just gave in.

You saw your friends and talked to them,
They didn't know it would be the last time and neither did I.
They left and you came and got me,

We started on our way home through,
the ever thick bushes.
You said you heard something and told me to hide,
I did just that and now I regret it.

He came out of nowhere,
and grabbed your arm.
He threw you against the tree,
Backed you into a corner.
Knock you unconscious,
And tore away you clothes.
And the whole time I lay watching frozen with fear.

When he was done,
He stabbed you in the heart.
Those handful of times I will Remember forever,
He left I came out from hiding.
I went to your side,
Still alive and conscious you were.

I began to cry and begged you to get up,
You just shook your head No
I broke down there next to you,
You reached up and rubbed my cheek.
I cried even more,
You started to sing.

The last words you said where, I love you my sister. Now Run and forget.
Well Carrie,
That night that happened 10 years ago.
Is still fresh in my mind,
And always will be.
For the song you sung ever repeats.

I am sorry for what I did,
In listening to you.
I know that you don't blame me,
But I do.
