God's Recipe for love

God's Recipe' for love

A warm smile in the morning, a gentle kiss before the Sun is dawning,

I love you under a clear blue sky, your special baked apple pie, a twinkle in the eye, a tear or two with any goodbye.
Deep sighs for adored ones placed in the grave to lie, a good laugh at the Formal Dinner when I forgot to zipper my fly, not to mention my two different socks that caught nobody's eye.

The evening bike ride besides the Ocean's incoming tide, the setting Sun warming our entwined hearts, the dinner vows that you and I will never depart.

Enjoying God's special free simple things which were written about by the Kings, a dinner with loved ones and friends, not like the world's shove with a fist in a glove.

Take this Recipe' and gently warm it with open arms and you will receive all of its charms, your heart again will glow and many blessings from the God of love will flow.

    Very sweet poem Ken,

Simple and sweet memories of a life well lived.
There are many among us who do not value the richness of those precious moments though small in its span are the true jewels of your life.
Many have not know such love and caring in life.
You are a truly blessed more so because you not only have you lived these moments but you also value them and also add humour to it... just like the icing to the cake you mentioned.
    thanks for sharing !

Thanks all! Some of those embarrassing things happened to me and I bet others too!

I enjoy writting about true life events that many can relate to, adding humor puts the icing on the cake!

    Regards, Ken
