Gel, I love this-it's so true, run away, don't look back. I love how you stated you want to run away and not in a circle because that leads back to you-perfect!

Gel this is fabulous work and a piece many of us can relate to, wanting to run away from the person we thought we loved because they hurt us so much and we don't want to be hurt again but sometimes it isn't so easy to run without looking back on the memories.

1: I like this opening because it says you want to run but looking back that persons still there in your clutches, your thoughts and your very being because they had a hold on you maybe or you loved them that much that it's not so simple as to run from them to forget their being.

2: You can run but you cannot hide from the memories good or bad because we have them and revisit them every once in awhile and it hurts like hell to realise how little those good times meant to that person and that memories are all you have. I think the third line would read better getting rid if the second just though, maybe something like "I wish I was just an empty cup." Remember though only a suggestion.

3: I like this stanza because it's stating you don't want to be led back to them thus running in a straight line, forgetting everything as you run like the wind, hoping and praying that when you reach the end of the road everything about them is forgotten. Now wouldn't that be great?

Fab write Gel you seem to be excelling yourself.

    Gel,

How often does love leave us running in circles, only to come back to the same problem?
I nodded along as I read this. Well done,

I like the simile of the circle bringing around the same pain again and again.

    Well done, Gel. X
