The Expansion of Thoughts

It is through you, my beloved, poetry
that I have found a universe;
one that expands each and every day
with the thoughts I never thought
I would have one day.
It is through you
that I can see with my mind.
But also, that with my mind,
I can feel emotions that I hadn't felt before:

------------------- like as if someone's touch
------------------- was cast upon my skin
------------------- even when not.

Poetry,

I dare say
that the moment when I met you,
it was as if we experienced the Big Bang.
It was some sort of explosion
that has no explanation
but that caused a commotion

in my heart...

Suddenly,
my thoughts started to expand...

[ O u t - o f - n o w h e r e !]

It's as if those thoughts
started to be like a universe full of galaxies
that I must explore.

Let me tell you,
throughout my life,
I had remained locked in my own Earth;
not wanting to think
what was beyond.

But poetry,

something came along
and it made me realize that there's

much more...
