Lost Typing on my Blog ( Prose )

by Everlasting   Nov 17, 2016

Have you ever felt lost? Not the type of lost where you go out camping in the forest with a bunch of friends, and suddenly, you find yourself alone with no one to speak to. But the type of lost where you are sitting on your bed in the middle of the night with the lights of your room on while typing in your blog without knowing what to type, yet like a miracle words appear in the monitor.
I mean the type of lost where while you type, you feel as if you were sleeping and dreaming, while at the same time, you get this sensation that at any moment you are going to wake up ( but you don't want to wake up) you just want your fingers to continue searching in your mind whatever path that could lead you to the exist of this maze where you got yourself lost. However, you can't even describe what type of lost you are referring to. You just know you feel lost; lost, in reality. In your dreams, you feel lost. But writing gives you the sensation as if you are walking towards the exist, as if you are getting closer to an exist yet you don't know what this exist is. You just know that the more you type, the closer you are at finding yourself. You want to continue typing and sleeping and dreaming because dreaming, sleeping, and typing shows you the way out, out of this maze, that sleeping and dreaming got you in the first place.

So really have you ever felt lost? The type of lost where you no longer know what being lost feels like? The type of lost where your mind feels at peace and your heart beats because it has to beat, but you don't feel anything. Your heart only beats, and you feel lost. Lost for not knowing why your heart beats nor why your mind is at peace. Lost for not being able to continue dreaming, sleeping, and typing. Lost for not typing while you were sleeping. Lost for dreaming that you were typing while you were sleeping. Lost, lost, lost for sleeping, dreaming, and typing and not wanting to wake up from this dream where I type during the night in my blog without knowing what to type, yet I type, and I sleep, and I dream that some day I am just going to dream while I write . . . just like today.

Luce, firstly I would like to say I truly hope this is nominated because it deserves to be but I am all out of bored unfortunately but if it doesn't get nominated I will as soon as I have more.
Now to the poem, I have read this Atleast 3 times and each time I found something much more wonderful about it. I must say I can totally relate to the lost feeling you speak of and it can be good sometimes to get lost in something so bad that the days, weeks and months go by quickly though in a kind of a blur (especially if you're at the laptop lol) but then other times like everything else it tales over our life's and we want to rid of it but it's too addictive.. Abit like this site lol maybe I have this all wrong but either way it's fantastic.

    All the best, Em

Oh to be lost on a trail of your tangled mind. I am quiet sure I would love to spend some time dropping breadcrumbs. Drop.drop.drop.
