A part of me

by Beautiful Tragedy   Dec 7, 2016

The room was quiet;
Only the occasional turn of a page here and there,
Everyone was either reading a book or silently writing.
I held my book in my hands,
Paying no attention to it.
Every time I look at you my heart swells with so much love
And joyous emotion that I almost let out a gleeful sob...
I never thought someone could sob because they were happy until I met you...
Ahaha.
My love for you is overwhelming.
I adore you.
I peek over the edges of my book,
Watching as you shuffle papers,
Searching for a worksheet that was due.
Grace is in your every move,
As you are beautiful;
Both inside and out...
I would say you take my breath away,
But instead
I willingly give it to you because
You are the breath I breathe;
The only oxygen I will ever need.
My heart beats for you as much as it does me..
You've sat down now and have started doing your work.
Anyone else in the room would think it boring,
Or even impolite and weird to watch you.
But to me;
You are mesmerizing.
I live in darkness at home; and
You are the dazzling full moon,
The bright and beautiful stars that light up my night sky.
It's precious;
The way you naturally curl your lip when you concentrate,
How easily you get lost in your work.
I smile to myself, (I tend to do that at least 30 times a day now)
And bite my bottom lip;
For the taste of yours still lingers in my mouth.
You sit fifteen feet away
Yet I yearn to be beside you,
On your lap actually..
I blush at the admittance of that thought to myself.
You glance up at your eyes catch mine; making me blush harder.
I look back up at you
And you give me a genuine smile
Filled with the warmth of genuine love.
I look down at my book and start to read,
Letting the warmth from your simple gaze course through my veins;
Making you even more a part of me.
