Brewed Awakening

Endorphins percolate through my nervous system.
Serotonin and adrenaline kickstart
my sputtering heart.
This morning the sun's rays kiss my sallowed skin
and keep my ribcage warm-

Oh, what a way to start the day!

    Aegis, I have never read anything like this before. I think it is a genius. Your use of words, just fantastic.
    I feel the end line is sarcastic, is it meant to be? Maybe I just read it wrong. Lol

      Thank you Em:) Actually the last line is quite sincere. I woke up this morning feeling almost... Alive.
      It was the first time in weeks that i didnt dread the daylight leaking through the blinds.
      I appreciate all your kind words on my pieces. It really means a lot that somewhere, there are people that appreciate my pretty words. Usually my words only cause disaster. So thank you:)
