Syrup, firstly this is an amazing write, structure and word choice and all the blah blah blahs are spot on, smacked it.

When we are the load bearers it can be tough, real tough, we can start to question things we never questioned before, start to see parts of ourselves we once thought as strengths as weaknesses and can feel like we are changing for the worse with no brakes to stop it, feeling that we just need someone to realise what's happening and stop it. Without us having to ask. For someone to just recognise that **it is going down and we need a life boat.

    Spit and post Syrup. Nominated.

So I hide under the covers
    and wait for someone to
    see if I'm awake.

Andrea ^^^ What a punch at the end!! Brilliant work!

Andrea, utterly amazing, beautifully sad. I totally agree with Ben. It is so hard when we are "the one", everyone depends on us to take on all the stuff. You really have done a beautiful job with this-blown away-hugs to you!

For a while I was away and didn't know how your poetry from the portraits of "still life" which was fantastic already, evolved to animation.
It is so beautiful this poem. A poetic self psychological analysis. You have found patient and the Freud within you speaking with the same voice that perhaps a pair of untrained eyes cannot distinguish them .
