You talk about opportunity for growth and advancement, but if a man quits his job just to chance it and doesn't quite have it, he becomes just another unemployed bandit, and then the government hands it. But if this is the way you'd prefer to have it, why not take their wage and half it and have a little more money for your bad habits. You talk about people who can't hack it when you don't even know how bad they've had it.
