The holidays are missing The best one I have known, You see she is an angel With wings now, of her own. Mom, in her example taught us to choose the right, We all went to church and read scriptures at night. A nurse in times of need, a teacher with a voice, She taught us to pray before we made a choice. The trials she endured may have caused her to cry, She was the strength That helped me to get by. She lit up the room with her angelic smile, in acceptance of all that they stay for a while. A life full of meaning, at peace, she now rest, It happened one day when we lost the best. Heaven gained an angel, radiant her heart shine, In celestial glory she rose met with comfort divine.
