When I still believed in fairytales

by Fredy RoMa0u Sanchez   Dec 19, 2016

When I still believed in fairytales
When the world hid behind clouded veils
It was then that I knew what love was.
Perched on a Window i swore it would last....
Time after time it sang at my heart.
Pulling up strings if I fell apart...
If on times pasts my will melted like butter
Well, surely, Its wings would flutter...
It would sweetly whisper in my ear,
It made my muddy life crystal clear.
The certainty of company joined my nights.
Was perhaps normalcy a curse in disguise?
With a slow crawl to the seasons...
Love died slowly, unaware was I of the reasons...
It would no longer sing that beautiful tune.
It would look out the window and sigh at the moon....
No longer intent on keeping me at peace.
Little by little, the ever growing breeze...
Turned into a full blown storm...
Guess the biggest sin is to conform

I love the last line here. When in love you never want to change yourself to fit another. That is not love.
