I sat down to write you a poem,
But I have too much I wish to say;
The way you ran your fingers along my body,
I can't remember the last time I felt this way.
I sat down to write you a poem,
But the words just will not come;
I place my heels on my aching feet,
And go back to the work I came from.
I sat down to write you a poem,
But My head hurts and I can't think;
My heart aches at the absence of your presence,
As you run your hands along my body;
You wink.
I sat down to write you a poem,
But you're a distraction...I can't remember what I wanted to say;
Your cologne still lingers on the top of my skin,
Gentle, beautiful, and comforting in every single way.
I sat down to write you a poem,
But no words could ever describe;
the love that swirls around my chest,
Giving off a wonderful, fulfilling vibe.
At the end of the day just know,
That this is my simple act
of faith and love;
You flutter and fly around in my chest,
Like a beautiful, pure, white dove.
