I need a heart
A heart not too stony or soft
A heart not too rough or smooth
I need a heart
A heart not too kind or wicked
A heart not too humble or boastful
A heart not too sharp or blunt
A heart not too empty or full

I need a heart
A heart not too angelic or satanic
A heart not too selfless or jealous
A heart not too saintly or demonic
A heart not too bounded or free
I need a heart
A heart not too mystical or social
A heart not too sober or epicurean
A heart not too rash or agile
A heart not to lax or keen

I just pray thee Jesus
To give me heart like Thine
A heart that can mount the Calvary
A heart that can descend to hell
A heart that can ascend to heaven
A heart that can be stilled in and out of season

    There comes a point in life after we have learnt and lived the truth about life and the many people we have met. This is a prayer we wish to say and receive to be blessed with the patience to walk through this life till our end.
