They say it gets easier
the more time goes on,
I can tell you first hand
what they say is wrong,
Yes there are days,
When I feel like I’m New,
Days I can laugh,
Despite losing you,
But always just after,
Comes flood after flood,
Of guilt coz I’m Laughing,
When you never could,
I dream of you often,
As if you were here,
Then dream of what happened,
And wake up in tears,
So even in sleep,
I cannot escape,
The pain and the anguish,
I feel when awake,
I hate that I’ll Never,
Have your hand in mine,
Take you to school,
Have father son time,
It hurts that I won’t Get,
To watch you grow up,
Watch you make you’re Own memories,
At night tuck you up.
They say it gets easier
the more time has passed
I say that those people,
Are talking out their ass.
