I love the comparison of a mundane life, carrying out the same boring tasks, day after boring day, to sleeping at the steering wheel of a car. |

Michael, thank you! I do drive a 4x4 and there are so many times I just want to jump the curb and take off to the unknown. We traveled a lot as kids and I have never lost that need to see new things. As adults we get tied into our jobs and find ourselves asleep at the wheel. |

Yes, Brenda - I feel like this sometimes. I wonder if we are not becoming the same as the machines we stand by! |
by Brenda
Ben, indeed! I am morphing into my desk and my computer is just going to open wide and poof, I am gone...thank you! I am glad you liked this. |

This is excellent Brenda. Right now my life feels like this samey samey and robot like.. Though its never the four same walls because I've been to so many different hospitals. It's times like this I wish I could be back to the daily grind of work. |
by Brenda
Thank you Em. So many hospitals does not sound good at all! I agree, I would rather be at work too. Prayers and hugs for you! |

This is a great write! |

Ren, thank you so much! It is so true how we just become numb from doing the same thing. Have you ever been driving and then realize you have gone miles and don't remember it? That is scary! |
I am sorry Brenda! |

Thanks N, don't stress it. I totally know what you are saying, I too some times zone through life. Take care- |

Hey Brenda - well I have to say that I love this piece, I is certainly relatable and you voice with it is really powerful. i can definitely identify with this, sometimes it does feel like life is one big groundhog day, day in day out, often when I get like this when i'm waiting for something to happen, like long term goals that kinda thing. |

Ben, thank you so much. Some days are harder than others to deal with the grind. |
