Precious And Priceless

by Lemon Squeezy   Feb 25, 2017

I've had money, possessions and expensive things,
Cars and jewelry, bracelets, and rings,
None of these compare to the treasure I gained today,
A treasure for which no price is too high to pay

One could place no value on this priceless gem,
For 'twould be vain, empty, foolish of them,
She outshines the brightest, the eldest star,
No distance on earth would traverse so far.

Fairer than diamonds, daisies or roses,
Rarer than red rubies glimmer oft poses,
Purer than fine silver or gold,
Surer than summer heat, or winter cold,

She wieldeth more beauty than midlemist bloom,
Her presence Doth never accompany gloom,
She is the best gift a man could attain,
Scarce could I find one as she, ever again,

It is said that treasure oft taketh its flight,
Tis' true it soareth away like a flying Kite,
God sent me an angel from heaven above,
Who today, forever, becometh my one true Love.

I liked this rhyming poem Lemon Squeezy. It sort of 'bounced along' and had a happy ending.
    Nice write!

I like how smooth the sentence read. Very good rhyming. By the way, congratulations on finding "true" love.
