An Old Man's Blues

by Domenico Sottile   Mar 5, 2017

On the hills of long time ago
we have now buildings and houses
The odor of restaurants
contaminates the aroma of jasmine
The benches we used to run to sit
today are gone

We should like to return
to those far away places
But the honey
that used to sweeten our tears
has dissipated

Only rain of chimeras
sorrows for still far away cities
a tired heart in the corners of memories
have remained

And if some one cries
no one sees
