The Power Of One

It is not a sword to swoop or swing,
It is not a verse to to speak or sing.
It is not a spear for him to throw,
It is not an arrow notched to a bow .

It is not a button for him to press,
It is not a world to desolate.
It is not a war for him to start,
It is not for him to crush those hearts.

Dictatorships are abhorred and always are,
But what if he holds the nation's hearts?
What if to his people he's not a traitor?
But you have to have the right dictator!

If for the people he loves he would truly die,
For an innocent if would bleed and cry?
With heart and soul he would sing that song!
To love so much could this be wrong?

But he has a task an accepted duty,
To protect those hearts and with honor truly.
To stave the blows, the cut and thrust,
This is his job, it's what he must.

It is not a leather thing to crack and whip,
He should level men with a word and quip.
Be able to decipher all those lies,
By simply looking into your eyes.

It is not a canon that he must flee,
No sword of God wil depart thee.
Fear no poison and fear no gun,
What you should fear is the power of one.
