Yakari, your pieces are always honest, raw and filled with a hundred and one roller coaster rides of emotion and as always they're original as I feel you just say it as it is or at least as you feel it is which to me makes for fantastic poetry.

1/ I really loved this opening and I remember am advert that says who says pinks for girls and blues for boys.. Or something along those lines and it's true as what's to say liking pink and glitter will make you homosexual if you're a boy or liking sports, cars etc if you're a girl will mean you're a tomboy??

2/ This hit me like a tonne of bricks being thrown from a block of flats... As a yes you're body is developing and still developing but when we reach adolescence we seem to throw it away. The part that got me the most was its "a playground, a place where boys come to learn skill to later use on other girls" maybe so but only if us girls let them, right? We should all name our bodies, beautiful, sexy etc because it will only be for this lifetime and we should love our own bodies and fcuk what anyone says.

3/ Wow, wow, wow!!!! Yes, we're called many things and have (I think) all these expectations' to live upto which we cannot always fulfil. Whose to say women have to have kids at all let alone by the age of 30 but we do get told or if we haven't had kids by a certain age everyone seems to question us. I hear 40 is the new 30 lol ;) "because what is beauty but a fleeting liability" loved this line.

4/ I have nothing to say to this ending apart from how true you are. It's abit like what came first the chicken or the egg lol... Sorry but that was my first thought on this for some strange reason. Self love will help the world seem bigger and brighter.

Yakair, I haven't read a whole lot from you, something i will change but i have to say that this is a really wonderfully written poem, very inspiring and full of emotionally charged lines and ideas that jump out and smack you in the face!

As i've come to find with you all the blah blahs are there, the format, word choice and meter is spot on but this...................

"Because self love is the only one that opens
All the doors they say you must close."

^^^ killer way to finish a write, very profound and memorable and brought this piece to a close with a breath.
